200 Words on the final.

This piece is a great representation of my work. It took me a while to get it right, but for my original sketches, I had the design almost immediately. I wanted to do something different and unusual, so I went with something that could potentially shock. I chose the vomit idea because sometimes I feel like I'm regurgitating ideas and projects. I really enjoyed doing this project because it was a chance to express myself in a creative manner. I liked that I got to put in pieces that I worked on on my own as well as the ones assigned in class. I also love my logo, which was originally given to me by a friend. I took it and ran with it.

The project also allowed me to fully understand the trials one can go through when working with other people. When I went to Kinko's to print the poster, I asked for 18x24 inches. They told me they didn't do that, and I knew that was incorrect because I'd seen it happen. I was upset with the size it eventually came out to be. I want to see if I can resize it at some point and print it at full size. Overall I think the project was successful.

Promo!

For this project we had to make a promotional mailer. I decided I wanted to do a poster so my professor could take it home and hang it in his bedroom (ever so creepily). It ended up being one of the weirdest things I've ever produced. And I love it.

Final Typographical Self Portrait

This project was really interesting. I think I accomplished the look I was going for. The striping in the background mimics the stripes in the cats fur and I fixed the placement of most of the words.

The comprehensive!

the comp for this project... it took my poor kitty 4 shots before I liked one.
She squirmed. And scratched me. A lot.

Typographical Self Portrait

The assignment following the typography assignment was a typographical self portrait. We had to make a list of words and graphically put 5 of them in with a photo or illustration.

Sketches!

Typography finals

The final typography images came out quite nicely... I'm still not entirely satisfied with osmosis, but I love cowboy.

Typography

The next project we had was a typography assignment. We had to take a list of words and our own name and illustrate those words graphically.

Here are my sketches:
